Bread increase the risk of renal cancer
It is generally believed that there is a certain relationship between dietary structure and renal cell carcinoma, but there is still controversy about which specific foods increase the risk of disease.
A study by Italian scientists showed that eating a lot of refined grains, especially bread, will increase the risk of renal cell carcinoma accordingly.
Scientists conducted a questionnaire survey on patients’ eating habits, comparing the eating habits of 767 patients with renal cell carcinoma two years before they were diagnosed with the eating habits of 1,543 patients with renal dysfunction, who did not suffer from renal cell carcinoma.
After comparing the physical conditions of patients with the highest and lowest consumption of the same food, they found that eating a lot of bread increased the risk of renal cell carcinoma by 94%. In contrast, eating more poultry and vegetables can reduce the risk of renal cell carcinoma by 26% and 35%.
Vegetables and fruits decrease the risk of renal cancer
Scientists said that the study proved that eating moderate amounts of grains and eating a lot of vegetables may play a role in reducing the risk of renal cell carcinoma.
Swedish researchers recently investigated the dietary structure of 61,000 women aged 40 to 76 in an experiment and followed up for 13 years. The results showed that most recipes that included a variety of fruits and vegetables could help people stay away from kidney cancer.
People who eat 6 to 8 bananas a day have a risk of kidney cancer that is nearly half that of people who do not eat them at all. Similarly, regular intake of root vegetables such as carrots or beets will also reduce the risk of disease by 50% to 65%.
In addition to bananas and root vegetables, cabbage, lettuce, cucumber and other essential vegetables for making salads also have the effect of reducing the risk of cancer. Of course, there are more vegetables and fruits that have not been taken into account, mainly because they are not popular enough, such as plums, berries and so on.
