What is Schizophrenia
Schizophrenia is a mental illness characterized by personality changes, split thinking, emotion, and behavior, and the incoordination between mental activities and the environment.
Patients with this disease generally have no unconscious and intellectual disorders, but when they occur, they not only affect their own ability to work, but also have an impact on their family and society.
According to the International Schizophrenia Pilot Survey (IPSS), 20 centers in 18 countries have surveyed more than 3,000 people for more than 20 years. The annual incidence of schizophrenia in the general population is between 0.2‰ and 0.6‰.
The cause of schizophrenia is still unknown. It is more common in young and middle-aged people, mostly between 16 and 40 years old.
