Causes of pericarditis
Inflammation and accumulation of fluid in the visceral and parietal layers of the pericardium is called pericarditis, which is mostly caused by bacterial, viral infection and rheumatism.
Collagen diseases, metastasis of malignant tumors, myocardial infarction and uremia can also cause pericarditis.
Accumulated pericardial fluid often mixes with blood. When pericarditis has pericardial fluid, various symptoms are caused by compression of the heart, manifested as fatigue, difficulty breathing, right abdominal pain, ascites and edema.
At this time, the patient will feel comfortable when the pericardial effusion is extracted.
Diagnosis of pericarditis
If the pericardial effusion is extracted by acupuncture, the diagnosis can be confirmed. Chest X-rays and electrocardiograms can also make a diagnosis.
The simplest and most correct diagnostic method is cardiac B-ultrasound.
Treatment of pericarditis
For pericarditis caused by rheumatic fever, there is no need to acupuncture to extract the effusion. After taking a large amount of salicylic acid and using adrenocortical hormones, most patients can be cured.
For tuberculous pericarditis, streptomycin is injected, sodium para-aminosalicylate, rifampicin or fordine is taken orally. At the same time, pericardial fluid must be extracted.
